EDWARDS -- Canton-based Uprooted String Band will be the next featured performer at the Edwards Opera House concert series on June 24 at 7 p.m.
The band, featuring Millie Ammirati, CJ Jahncke, Rosemary Philips and Lenore VanderZee plays “Americana roots and branches” including flavors of folk, rock, old time and bluegrass. Uprooted has played venues throughout the Northern New York area, bringing a new flavor of old time music sounds to the stage.

Tickets to all shows in the series are $10, and can be purchased at the door the night of the show. All proceeds benefit the opera house and the continuation of the series there.
Advance tickets are available by mail. Send a check or money order to: The Edwards Arts Council, Inc. P.O. Box 241 Edwards 13635. The tickets will be available at the box office.

• Danny Gotham and John Kribs, Saturday, July 29, 7 p.m. Award winning guitarist hosts a 2/3 reunion of the Raquette River Rounders for a unique evening of multifaceted music.
• John and Orion Kribs, Saturday, Aug. 26, 7 p.m. Saratoga-area father and son original folk, rock, blues, and roots.
• Northbound, Saturday, Sept. 2, 7 p.m. The series’ traditional End of Summer Blast with the North Country’s finest dance band.
• Pure Country, Sept. 16, 7 p.m. Ogdensburg-based country band; their name says it all.
• Hollow Bodies, Saturday, Sept. 30, 7 p.m. Josh Daby, Christian Parker and Michael Welch. Eclectic, folk, rock, and roots music.
• Harpeth Rising, Saturday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. Three classical trained musicians playing cello, violin, and banjo; with 3-part vocal harmonies and original music influences from Appalachia to Medieval Europe.
