CANTON -- United Helpers will host “Know Before You Go” April 20 at 1 p.m. at Partridge Knoll.
The event is a free educational presentation on planning for joint surgery, health care options available in St. Lawrence County to recover and information on how insurance or Medicare benefits may be able to help cover costs.
“Having surgery, whether it is elective or not is stressful,” according to Nicholas Maneely, corporate services liaison for United Helpers. “It’s not unusual for people to sometimes place more of a focus on the surgery itself and the hospital stay, not what happens next. Sometimes that homecoming isn’t what was expected at all. It’s always better to be prepared.”
“Know Before You Go” is free and open to the public.
Registration is not required.
