OGDENSBURG -- United Helpers will offer two task aide career information sessions in February.
The first will be Feb. 11 from 3 to 6 p.m. at RiverLedge Campus in Ogdensburg.
The second will be Feb. 17 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Maplewood Campus in Canton.
Sessions are free and open to anyone.
Reservations are not necessary.
“A career in health care can be an amazingly rewarding experience and the opportunities for professional growth and position development have never been better,” said Robin Leonard, staff development specialist for Maplewood Campus. “These sessions are a great opportunity for someone who is thinking about a health care career as an option, but really doesn’t know what to expect or what is involved.”
Task aides are members of the organization’s health care team, working full-time or part-time.
Duties may involve participating in activities, making beds, assisting with laundry or interacting with residents.
“If you are dependable, interested in a career that involves making a difference in the lives of others, and enjoy working as a member of a team, then becoming a task aide may be the right career move for you,” a news release from United Helpers reads.
