CANTON -- Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton will begin its new church year with an in-gathering and water communion service titled “Reveling in Rain” on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 10:30 a.m.
The service, led by the Rev. James Galasinski, will be a multi-generational celebration studying the way people have looked to the heavens and saw rain as a life-giving, sacred gift, and will encourage members and guests to do the same, said a press release.
Music will be provided by jazz pianist Bill Vitek and the church choir, directed by Carol Strome.
The celebration of a new church year is open to church members, guests, and community members interested in learning more about the church.
All are invited to bring a small quantity of water to celebrate water communion.
The Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 3½ East Main Street, across from the park in Canton. Sunday service and religious education classes begin at 10:30 a.m.
