The u program is taking orders for May. It is available to all. It costs $15.50 per month in cash or food stamps, allowing participants to get more for that amount than they would at a store.
Orders must be placed by May 8.
Pick-up is May 22 at the Potsdam Neighborhood Center, 265-3920; the Canton Neighborhood Center, 386-3541; Helping Hands, 268-0633; the Gouverneur Neighborhood Center, 287-3370; and Ogdensburg First Presbyterian Church, 393-2510.
The projected list for May includes 1.5 lbs. chicken thighs, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 lb. hot dogs, 1 lb. fish sticks, 5 oz. tuna fish, 16 oz. fresh cole slaw, 13.3 oz. pasta salad mix, 19 oz. vegetable stir fry, 20 oz. pineapple, 15 oz. corn and fresh produce.
May specials include 2 lbs. of beef patties for $7.25, 3 lbs. of Italian sausage for $10.50, 3 lbs. boneless chicken breast for $6, 5 lbs. of French fries for $3.50, 5 lbs. of American cheese for $15 and 12-8 oz. Hot Pockets for $17.
