MADRID -- Tyler Allen will be the featured performer at the last concert of the Madrid Dam Music 2017 Summer Series on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Madrid Community Park’s band stand lawn.
Allen, a 17-year-old senior at Madrid Waddington Central School, is involved in school choruses, bands, and theatre productions. He hopes to further his musical education and be a music teacher.
“For some of my selections, I'll be doing ‘Blackbird’ by the Beatles, ‘Miss being Mrs’ by Loretta Lynn, and I'll be performing ‘Hallelujah’ with Mrs. Sterling,” said Allen. “I'll be splitting my performance into sections with selected guests to represent things that are important to me.”
Announcements start at 5:45 and Allen will perform at 6 p.m.
There will be a live auction of items for the new bandstand fund and a few surprises during intermission.
There will concessions sold during the performance.
In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be relocated to the community building.
All MDMS events are park and family friendly with no alcohol or smoking.
