WADDINGTON -- Christmas in Waddington is planning nearly two weeks of downtown events.
Schedule:
• Dec. 2, 6 to 9 p.m., opening night party with pop-up stores and businesses on Main Street. There will also be live music, a bon fire, beverage samplings and Santa.
• Dec. 3, 2 to 6 p.m., holiday carnival and tree-lighting. There will be family photos with Santa, “reindeer games,” arts and crafts, a bon fire, s’mores and hot cocoa, along with the pop-up market. Tree lighting will be at 5:30 p.m. with shopping until 8 p.m. Organist Sondra Goldsmith Proctor will perform from 4 to 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s church, 129 Lincoln Ave.
• Dec. 4, 2 to 4 p.m., Santa at the Waddington fire hall.
• Dec. 8, 5 to 9 p.m., “Sip and Shop Ladies Night.” The night will include wine sampling and live music by Michael Guimond and Josh Barkley. There will be additional pop-up merchants in the library community room, including a men’s shop. Main Street pop-up shops will also be open. There is also a gift registry sign-up for men’s night the following week.
• Dec. 10, 9 to 11 a.m., breakfast with Santa at Artworks Creperie. From 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the creperie, there will be an ugly sweater contest and a la carte dinner. People with ugly sweaters can get their picture taken and receive 10 percent off a wine and spirits purchase. Winner of the competition, announced Christmas Eve, will receive a $25 Brookeside Wine and Spirits gift certificate.
• Dec. 15, 5 to 9 p.m., “Blues and BBQ Guys Shopping Night.” Live blues by Josh Barkley, barbeque from Seaway Smokehouse, beer sampling. Pop-up shops open on Main Street and library community room.
• Dec. 16, holiday concert featuring Potsdam Brass Quintet, 7:30 p.m. They will perform at United Methodist Church, 116 Lincoln Avenue.
• Dec. 17, 8 to 10 a.m., breakfast with Santa at the library community room.
