MASSENA -- A two-day tennis clinic is set for Monday and Wednesday, Aug. 20 and 22 at 210 Maple St.
The schedule is 9 to 1:30 a.m. for 9- to 12-year-olds followed by swimming and snacks from 10:30 to 11:30, and 10:30 a.m. to noon for 13- to 17-year-olds, with swimming and snacks from noon to 1 p.m.
The clinic will cover the basics of forehand, backhand, serve and volley, and how to play games. Rackets will be provided for players who don’t have one. Players should wear sneakers and bring a swimsuit and towel. The cost is $40 total for both days.
Sponsor Northside Community Church in Massena will send all proceeds to drill a drinking water well in Africa through Life Outreach Ministries. $4,800 drills one well which will provide clean water for 1,000 people for years.
