MORRISTOWN -- “About Boating Safely" will be taught July 11 and 12 at St. John's Hall, 500 Morris St. by members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Ogdensburg Flotilla.
This course is required in New York State for anyone 14 years old and over who operates a personal watercraft (jet-ski).
Motor boat operators born on or after May 1, 1996 must have a boating safety certificate and be at least 10 years of age. This will be the only class offered in Morristown this summer.
The class is set for 5 to 9 p.m. both night; participants must attend both nights. Cost is $35 per person; a family plan is available.
