CANTON -- Traditional Arts in Upstate New York will hold its first Friday music jam Oct. 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the TAUNY Center, 53 Main St. Hosted by fiddler Gretchen Koehler and singer/guitarist Barb Heller, the jams are open to musicians of all skill levels.

Singers, step dancers, and listeners are welcome as well.
