EDWARDS -- The Trophy Husbands, an Americana and traditional folk collective made up of four highly regarded North Country musicians, will perform at the Edwards Opera House at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7.
The group features John Kribs on guitar and banjo, Arlin Greene on bass, Doug Moody on fiddle, and Orion Kribs on mandolin and guitar.
John Kribs is the founder of the Racquette River Rounders and Johnny & the Triumphs and also played with The McKrells.
Kribs also performs with his son Orion in classic country band The BlueBillies as well as with The Trophy Husbands.
Fiddler Doug Moody is a veteran of more than 20 years of touring with Papa Chubby, The Steam Donkeys and The McKrells.
Bassist Arlin Greene is the son of legendary artist Smokey Greene and has also worked with 1980s pop star James "D-Train" Williams and Dan Tyminski, a member of noted bluegrass/country band Union Station.
Tickets will be available at the door before the show beginning at 6 p.m. The Edwards Opera House is located on the second floor of the Edwards Town Hall.
Advance tickets for all shows are available through mail. Those interested can send a check payable to “The Edwards Arts Council, Inc.” to P.O. Box 241, Edwards, NY 13635. The tickets will be available at the box office the night of the show.
The Edwards Arts Council was formed in 2002 with the mission of preserving the Edwards Town Hall, which was erected in 1896 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
