MASSENA -- Triple “A” Building Centers will host its first Energy Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 7 pm at the Massena location, 3 Malby Ave.
Energy providers such as Curran Renewable Energy, Enbridge, Massena Electric and MX Fuels are among the many exhibitors slated to be on hand to provide information to the public on the various aspects of energy in the region.
Aside from selling energy related items, Triple "A" has taken steps to reduce energy consumption in its own stores.
The company has replaced area heaters and upgraded HVAC systems, along with replacing outdated lighting fixtures.
“It began partly as a cost-saving measure,” said Marketing Director John Schneider.
“Business and home owners are keenly aware of the cost of energy consumption in structures. Our company has always been conscious of the financial impacts of energy consumption, because it’s such a large expense, especially during North Country winters. We work on construction projects with contractors and designers who continually try to improve structural heat loss for that reason.”
The company also realizes the positive effects of conserving fuel resources and lessening the impact on the environment.
The Energy Fair will feature new lighting options, wood pellets, various types of insulation, heaters, doors, windows and generators for emergency situations.
The event is open to the public.
