POTSDAM -- Trillium Center for Yoga and Health will host Awareness in Motion with the Alexander Technique. Teacher Beth Robinson will lead the 90 minute introductory workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The cost for each workshop is $15.
Participants will learn how everyday movements, such as sitting down, standing up, and walking may create unnecessary tension, effort, and fatigue.
Event organizers say people who may find this workshop particularly helpful are performing artists, athletes, martial artists, computer users, public speakers, and anyone with physical or emotional discomfort due to stress, postural habits, or movement habits.
Sessions are open to anyone, and will include both group and individual attention. Participants should wear comfortable clothing. Pre-registration is preferred. For more information contact Beth, bethat73@yahoo.com and trilliumyogacenter.com.
