The Tri-Town Summer Festival in Brasher Falls, Lawrence and Stockholm is set for Aug. 2 to 4 with a "Favorite TV Shows" theme.
Friday events will include a new teen golf tournament at 8:30 a.m. at the Meadowbrook Golf course, Winthrop. A “Minute to Win It” competition will be held at the arena in Brasher Falls at 6 p.m., with registration at 5:30 p.m. The day will wrap up with fireworks, music with Chris Whalen and Joe’s Hot Dog Stand beginning at 8 p.m. at the bus garage in Brasher Falls.
Saturday events will kick off with a 5k walk/run at the arena in Brasher Falls at 8 a.m., with a $15 registration fee. A “Getting it Done” obstacle challenge will follow the walk at 9:30 a.m.
The parade is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, with line up beginning at 10 a.m. at the elementary school. The parade will run from the school to Agway in Winthrop.
The “Carnival of Fun” will be at a new time this year, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the arena in Brasher Falls. Kids games, bouncy houses, raffles and rides will be featured. The duck race will also be at a new time, starting at 6 p.m. at the arena.
Saturday will also include the fifth annual Cory Jock home run derby, also at the arena, at 8 p.m. The entry fee will be $5.
Sunday will include a kids’ fishing derby at Tower’s pond in North Lawrence at 10 a.m. The North Lawrence Fire Department will host a chicken barbeque at 11 a.m., followed by lawn mower races at 1 p.m. Sunday.
