The Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce is holding a button design contest for their Winter Carnival to be held Feb. 13-16 2014.

The buttons are used as tickets to enable the wearer to get into certain events during the carnival weekend.

To be eligible the artist must be a high school student from Lawrence, Brasher, or Stockholm. Rules: The theme “Proud To Be An American” must be depicted in the work; the term “Tri-Town Winter Carnival 2014” must appear on the design, the names of the three towns must appear on the work; only hand drawn/painted work that can be shrunk to a 2 ½ inch round button will be accepted, colors this year will be red, white and blue; the type of medium is your choice but beware of media that may smudge such as chalk pastels.

Entries must be received by the chamber by Dec. 2. Name, address, phone number, and a short statement about the design must be included with the drawing.

There is no limit on the number of entries per individual.
