CANTON – The Canton Recreation Department and Nature Up North’s Fall Trail Series continues Friday, Oct. 20 on the St. Lawrence Kip Tract and the Community Ash Tree Survey looking for emerald ash borers an invasive insect expected to impact ash trees in the near future.
The group will stop along the way to see special features on the trail, including an active beaver dam.
Everyone will be encouraged to continue exploring the trail on their own or to head back to the Field Station.
The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Parking is available at the Wachtmeister Field Station; from downtown, take Park St./Route 27 through campus and past the athletic fields; after crossing the wooden bridge, take your first left onto the gravel driveway)
