This session will be partly a talk, but mostly experiential, as attendees are guided through techniques for do-it-yourself stress reduction.
Attendees will learn methods to work with the nervous system to lower the stress reaction through movement exercises, visualization, and meridian work from EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques.)
Participants should dress in comfortable, loose fitting clothing and can bring water.
Presenter Kathy Montan has been giving workshops since 1994, including ones for Hospice, School Counselors of Northern NY, St. Lawrence University, SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson University and the Office For the Aging, as well as previous workshops with the Local Living Venture.
The cost is $22 general public, $40 couple/family of two, and $10 for student. Reduced rate scholarships are available upon request.
