MALONE -- Titus Mountain will open for the season Dec. 26 at 10 a.m.
Lift tickets will be available for $10 per day.
They are having one of the latest openings it has had in recent years due to unseasonably warm temperatures.
All of their snow comes from snow-making machines.
“The weather has been tough lately, but every chance we’ve had we turned our snow guns on,” said Chris Monette, an owner at Titus Mountain. “All the snow that we have made in the past month we left in piles so that when the time came, we would have enough snow to spread around.”
This year, they will be open seven days per week. They had added new snow-making machines, upgraded the upper lodge bar and added a new double black diamond trail.
Conditions will be available for opening weekend each morning at www.TitusMountain.com.
Season passes are still on sale.
Continued hours of operation and opening days can be found online.
