POTSDAM -- A spring fling reception and dinner for adults to benefit the North Country Children’s Museum will be held at the Cactus Grill and Cantina, 11 Raymond St., Sunday, June 14, at 5 p.m..
Event tickets are $85 per person and include light appetizers, one entrée, and one cocktail for attendees 21 years or older.
“The museum board is grateful to Larry and Pam Hazen for hosting this benefit. Their investment will help bring to fruition our vision for the museum as a place of learning and discovery for young children across the entire North Country,” said Sharon Vegh Williams, co-founder and executive director.
The future museum will be located at historic Old Snell Hall on Elm Street. Opening is dependent on restoration of the building, funded by a consolidated regional economic development grant from New York State. So far, 10 interactive exhibits are planned to promote creativity, inquiry and learning. The museum will open doors in 2016-2017 depending on the timeline of the overall building redevelopment schedule.
To purchase tickets, email info@northcountrychildrensmuseum.org. Ticket sales are not tax deductible; however, tax-deductible donations to the museum are welcome and a receipt will be provided.
The event will be held on the rooftop bar, which is not wheelchair accessible.
