MASSENA -- The public will get to give input on potential uses for the former General Motors site on June 4 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
St. Lawrence County has received a Brownfield Opportunity Area grant to revitalize the site, which is undergoing cleanup of dangerous levels of carcinogenic polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB).
The event will include a presentation on the BOA process and efforts to date, a showing of maps and potential options for the future. Event organizers hope to “develop and refine a vision for the future” of the site.
The event is open to the public and will be held in the Massena High School room 314.
