POTSDAM -- The American Red Cross of Northern New York is hosting a three-day first aid in emergencies class for high school coaches.
Classes will run from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 4, 6 and 7, at the Red Cross office at 73 Market St.
The program helps coaches recognize and respond appropriately to first aid emergencies and meets New York State coaching requirements.
The course teaches skills that enable participants to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill athlete or bystander until more advanced medical personnel arrive.
The cost is $120.
