POTSDAM -- “Third Thursday” afternoon tastings will feature two products the Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., on June 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
They will showcase GoVida, a natural freeze-dried fruit mix. Freeze-dried fruit has fewer calories than dried fruit, and each snack pack of GoVida has only 80 calories. The Co-op offers three flavors, grapes and pineapple, banana and raspberries, and strawberry and dulce de leche. They are rich in antioxidants, high in Vitamin C, and are gluten-free.
The Chunks of Energy is produced in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. They four grams of protein in every 1 oz. serving, they are supposed to give an energy boost while satisfying a sweet tooth.
They contain nuts, seeds, dried fruits and natural flavors that are MSG and GMO-free. The Co-op is now carrying three new flavors from Chunks of Energy, gorp, lemon pomegranate and cacao goji.
