POTSDAM -- The course “Techniques of Seed Saving” will be offered at the Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., Aug. 23, at 6:30 p.m.
Students will learn how to save tomato seeds, what makes a seed viable or ripe for saving, and how to store seeds.
Bring a ripe tomato (an open pollinated variety), a quart-size jar with cover, and a small spoon.
