POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., will offer “Tax 101” on April 1 at 11:30 a.m. The class will be a general overview of income tax, including a discussion of income tax issues affecting the elderly and disabled.
The presenter, an attorney from Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, will discuss common income tax issues such as cancellation of debt, withdrawing funds from retirement accounts, settlement options available to those who may owe state and federal taxes, overview of current tax scams.
