CANTON -- TAUNY’s First Friday Music Jam for May will be held at Canton Island Park on Willow Island Friday, May 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Fiddler Gretchen Koehler will lead the outdoor jam to celebrate the 51st annual Rushton Memorial Races.

Singers and players of acoustic instruments at all levels are welcome.

Unlike TAUNY's typical monthly jams, there will be no sheet music for this session. Chords will be announced at the beginning of each song. Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.

In case of rain, the jam will be held at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St.
