CANTON – TAUNY, 53 Main St., will offer two afternoon presentations in February about greenery and outdoor life.
Both programs begin at 1:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served following the presentations. On Feb. 6, Hallie Bond will present "Mountain Greenery," a look back at how earlier generations of North Country residents tended indoor gardens, and what houseplants were popular in earlier times.
Those who attend this talk are encouraged to talk about their own indoor gardens, and to bring examples of plants from their homes. On Feb. 27, Loretta Lepkowski presents "Celebrating Family Farms of the Tug Hill Region."
Lepkowski has created a traveling exhibit of paintings of people and scenes on Tug Hill Farms.
The exhibit will open Feb. 8 in conjunction with TAUNY’s exhibit, "Every Single Day: Life on North Country Dairy Farms." For more information visit www.TAUNY.org.
