CANTON -- TAUNY Jams, hosted by Gretchen Koehler and Barb Heller, return to The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St, Friday, Sept. 11, and then the first Friday of October, November and December from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
TAUNY's traditional music jams are open to anyone interested in gathering to play old time fiddle tunes and songs from American folk traditions. Fiddlers, guitar players, percussion or other traditional instruments are welcome.
Jams are hosted by renowned fiddler Gretchen Koehler and singer/guitarist and host of NCPR's String Fever Barb Heller.
Occasional guest-hosts include champion fiddler Don Woodcock and clawhammer banjo player, and TAUNY Director of Research and Programs Camilla Ammirati. Info: 386-4289 or programs@tauny.org.
