CANTON -- Traditional Arts in Upstate New York is hosting events in September.
Welcome to the North Country open house is Sept. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served alongside a cash bar, and guests will have an opportunity to meet new people, ask questions, tour The TAUNY Center.
The event is free.
Knit lace scarf workshop with Jody Horwitz is Sept. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Participants should have basic knitting skills, including casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and binding off. Attendees should bring their own yarn (light fingering weight up to sport weight, or lace weight) and needles (straight or circular in a size 2 needle sizes bigger than the yarn wrapper suggests).
Cost is $12, $10 for TAUNY friends.

ANCA's annual meeting and reception is Sept. 26 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The Adirondack North Country Association is holding their annual meeting and reception at The TAUNY Center this year. The reception will feature locally sourced food and drink.
