CANTON -- TAUNY, Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, 53 Main St., will host a Halloween live-band Community Contra Dance Friday, Oct. 27, from 7-9 p.m., with a children’s lesson before the dance at 6:15 p.m.
Beth Robinson will call the dances, and lively music will be performed by North Country Heritage Award recipients Gretchen Koehler and Don Woodcock, along with special guests including Millie and Megan of The Don’t Tell Darlings and some of the Madstop Fiddlers.
Beginners are welcome, and all dances will be taught. This is a family-friendly event and there will be a kids’ line on the dance floor. Costumes are encouraged! There is a suggested donation of $10 for this event.
