POTSDAM – During the month of January, children and their families are invited to come get cozy in TAUNY’s “Cabin Fever Clubhouse.”
Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 4, anytime during open hours, children may enjoy board games, crafts, books, and other activities in a cozy section of the gallery, while warming up with hot chocolate.
In addition, several activities are planned throughout the month. On Tuesday afternoons at 3:30, beginning Jan. 10, NCPR’s morning host Todd Moe will read traditional tales from around the world. On Thursdays, local knitter Jody Horwitz will teach knitting to children.
On Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 3:30 p.m., TAUNY Program Director Hannah Harvester will lead a session on cardboard loom weaving. And on Monday, Jan. 16, children can spend part of their day off from school working on crafts for the birds, including popcorn stringing, birdfeeders, and “nesting bags.”
TAUNY hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information visit www.TAUNY.org
