CANTON -- St. Lawrence University's Department of Geology will present Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar James C. Zachos at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in Bloomer Auditorium in Brown Hall, room 122.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Zachos is a professor of earth and planetary sciences at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
His lecture, titled “A Geologic Perspective on Ocean Acidification; The Causes and Consequences,” will explore the theory of and the evidence for the process of ocean acidification as well as potential projections of acidification centuries into the future.
