CANTON – A couple of planning meetings for Sustainable Living Project events are scheduled soon and open to all interested volunteers.
A meeting to plan for the Sustainable Living Project Local Living Festival in September will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County Learning Farm, Rt. 68 southeast of Canton.
A Simple and Rural Living Skills Workshops Planning event is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in the village park at the corner of Main and Park Streets. Anyone who is interested in throwing their event ideas in to the ring, helping to locate interesting speakers or skills demonstrators, or participate in any aspect of the many events put on by the Sustainable Living Project are welcome to attend the one-hour session.
The Project hosts near-weekly workshops on simple-living and rural-living skills, plus dances, green home and renewable energy tours, beekeeping and healthy cooking classes, benefits, and celebratory outdoor events, and any input and help are welcome.
