CANTON -- Supporters of Planned Parenthood will gather Tuesday, Sept. 29 at noon in front of Canton’s Planned Parenthood building, 9 Miner St., to show support for the non-profit organization.
Known as “Pink Out Day’ the rally aims to fight back against attempts to defend Planned Parenthood in the wake or allegations the national organization was selling fetal parts.
Similar events are being held throughout the nation.
“Republicans are determined to defund Planned Parenthood, and we cannot let them use fraud and deception to destroy a 99-year-old institution and roll back women's rights,” a flyer for the rally says. “We're coming together this Tuesday for the first-ever national Pink Out Day to stand with Planned Parenthood after months of outrageous attacks.”
