SeaComm, in partnership with the Akwesasne and Potsdam VITA sites, the Canton AARP site and the IRS, is hosting Super Saturday free tax preparation on Feb. 20.
There are still appointments available from 9 a.m. to noon at the Canton Branch, 101 E. Main St., and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ogdensburg Branch in Gateway Plaza. A Super Saturday tax event at the Potsdam Branch is full.
IRS trained volunteers will be on hand to prepare returns for eligible individuals. Financial Service Representatives from the credit union will be available to open accounts for individuals without an account and possibly provide loans for those who need their refund in a hurry. Appointments for Super Saturday are required, as walk-ins will not be allowed.
