POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Theatre and Dance will host dancer Gesel Mason for a guest artist performance to usher in Black History Month on campus.
The dance performance, entitled “No Boundaries: Dancing the Visions of Contemporary Black Choreographers,” will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dunn Dance Theater.
The concert will showcase two works that were choreographed by Mason. The largely solo performance will also include three dances by other well-known choreographers, including Rennie Harris, Donald McKayle and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar. Two of Mason’s company dancers will also join her for a trio performance during the show.
Tickets are $12 for the general public and $10 for SUNY Potsdam faculty, staff and students, available at Community Performance Series Box Office in the lobby of Snell Music Theater at The Crane School of Music, at 267-2277, and www.cpspotsdam.org.
