POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will offer free instruction on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments for area children this year, beginning in September for private or homeschooled children.
Children aged 10 to 15 can learn to play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion and other band instruments of their choice. Crane undergraduate students, under the supervision of Dr. Caron Collins, provide weekly lessons as part of their music education curriculum. Lessons utilize a variety of engaging instructional approaches and musical styles, from beginning through intermediate levels.
To learn more about the program and enroll your child, contact Dr. Collins at 267-2404 or collincl@potsdam.edu. You can also visit http://craneschoolbands.weebly.com.
