POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will host George Curran, a bass trombonist with the New York Philharmonic, for an upcoming residency.
Curran will present a concert on Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater. The performance will include works by Sergey Prokofiev, David Gillingham, Gabriel Fauré and Norman Bolter. He will also present a work by Jan Koetsier, accompanied by three Crane School of Music trombonists.
Curran will also lead a public masterclass for select Crane trombone students, at 3 p.m. on Dec. 3, also in Snell Theater.
Both events are free.
