Directed by Dr. Brian Doyle, the band will perform a series of “celestial” works, including parts of Gustav Holst’s masterwork, “The Planets”; Frank Ticheli’s “Gaian Visions”; and Vincent Persichetti’s meditative “O Cool is the Valley,” a reflection on the James Joyce poem; and “Prelude and Fugue in G-Minor” by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The Concert Band will play works by Norman Dello Joio, Kenneth Hesketh and Richard Wagner, directed by visiting Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Patricia Cornett.
