POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam softball team will be holding its annual “Strike Out Cancer” fundraiser, Friday, April 24 as the Bears host SUNY Cortland at 3 p.m.
Sophomore outfielder Kelly Becker's mother Rhonda, Mahopac, who is battling the disease, will throw out the first pitch against the Red Dragons. The team will sell t-shirts during the doubleheader and through Saturday's games against Oswego State as well.
Potsdam will wear pink jerseys during Friday's contests. All proceeds will be donated to Canton-Potsdam Hospital's Center for Cancer Care.
