POTSDAM -- The College Store at SUNY Potsdam is joining hundreds of other colleges Oct. 3 to celebrate and promote social responsibility during the third annual National Student Day.
Activities planned include “Pepsi Taste Challenge” starting at 10 a.m., until supplies last, raffles of vendor giveaways, with a drawing at 4 p.m., and a food drive for a local pantry. Other activities include student organizations displays, cotton candy and popcorn giveaway at the Union Market,
"Tell your story" banner: participants will receive bracelets that are good for a free ice cream cone at Cookies & Cream, and more. Students can win prizes by submitting their story on how they give back to their community online. Stories will be voted on by students across North America.
The three most popular stories will win $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 scholarships, and seven randomly selected submissions will win iPads.
