POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will present a free fall concert featuring the Crane Jazz Band Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.
The band will present a selection of works by Quincy Jones, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Michael Philip Mossman, Bob Mintzer, Diane Schuur, Jeff Coffin, Neal Hefti and Milt Jackson, as well as two compositions by director Bret Zvacek. Directed by Zvacek, along with student director Cody Chamberlin, the Crane Jazz Band consists of 20 students on saxophone, trumpet, trombone and rhythm section.
The concert will broadcast live at the performance time at www.potsdam.edu/academics/Crane/streaming.
