POTSDAM -- The SUNY Potsdam Campus Community Band will host a free "Spring Informance" concert Tuesday, May 14 at 6 p.m. in Hosmer Hall.
Composer and conductor Kevin Mixon will speak about his composition "Native American Homage" at 5:30 p.m.
The concert will include pieces by Louis Armstrong jazz hits, "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin and "Fate of the Gods" by Steven Reineke.
The concert will also include a donation by the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society to the Long Beach High School to replace equipment and band uniforms lost during Hurricane Sandy.
