CANTON -- SUNY Canton will hold two information sessions about the brand-new Excelsior Scholarship, also known as Gov. Andrew Cuomo's tuition-free college plan.
Area students and their families are invited to learn about the groundbreaking new free tuition legislation from 5 to 7 p.m. on both Thursday, April 20, and Thursday, April 27, in the Admissions Office in French Hall.
These events are free and open to the public.
Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will be available to answer questions about Excelsior Scholarship applications and eligibility requirements.
Further information will also be available at the college's April 29 Open House.
New and transfer students can also use these sessions as a chance to apply and immediately be considered for the Fall 2017 semester.
High school students will need to bring their official high school transcripts and their relevant SAT or ACT scores.
Transfer students will need to bring transcripts from their previous colleges.
