CANTON -- SUNY Canton will be highlighting innovative research from its students and professional faculty at the annual Scholarly Activities Celebration.
The event will include poster presentations displayed from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Southworth Library learning Commons. Nearly a dozen Early Childhood students will display their cumulative projects during the afternoon.
A special session for oral presentations will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in Payson Hall Room 219 on the same day.
More than 30 projects will be showcased during the Scholarly Activities Celebration this year, including the design and plans for a shared garden for students at all four area colleges. Other presentations detail automotive aerodynamics, explore the effects of World War II on the evolution of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia and investigate the criminalization of mentally ill populations.
