CANTON -- The Canton Free Library’s Summer Reading Program, which is themed “Build a Better World” will begin the first week of July and continue for four weeks. Children ages newborn-12 years are invited to attend for great books, crafts, games, music, and lots of summertime fun.
The schedule for programs will be:
• Newborn-17 months with a caregiver meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays.
• 18-35 months with a caregiver meet at 10 a.m. on Thursdays.
• 3- and 4-year-olds with a caregiver meet on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
• 5- and 6-year-olds meet on Tuesdays at 1 p.m.
• 7- and 8-year-olds meet on Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
• 9- to 12-year-olds meet on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
• Special all-ages events on Thursdays at 2 p.m. This year we will offer a puppet show, “Rumplestiltskin” by Puppets with Pizazz, music by Nan Hoffman, a “Books at the Beach” event at Taylor Park, the Annual Summer Reading Pet Show and a Storywalk at the Partridge Loop Trail! Please join us!
Registration for all age group sessions with the exception of newborn-17month olds is required and space is limited. The registration deadline for the program is June 23.
