COLTON -- The next performance in the Town of Colton’s summer music series features Northbound at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 in the gazebo behind the Colton Museum on Main Street.

The audience will be treated to ‘Five Decades of Music in Two Hours’ by Northbound. The all-local group includes Michael Welch (guitar and vocals), Don Cannamela (bass and vocals), Larry Baycura (drums and percussion) and Andy Van Duyne (guitar, keyboard and vocals).

For years, they have been performing an exciting blend of music that spans a wide variety of musical tastes. The four, along with occasional guests, play an eclectic mix of folk, acoustic and classic rock influenced by great singer-songwriters of the 1950s through today including James Taylor, Paul Simon, John Fogerty and The Beatles.

Audience participants should bring their own chairs for sitting on the gazebo lawn. Bathrooms in the museum will be open to the public. Volunteers will be on hand to help people needing assistance. Food, including hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be available to purchase from the Colt’s Pride Booster Club.

The performance goes on rain or shine. If it rains, the performance will be in the pavilion at Swift Field off Sugar Bush Lane in South Colton. Signs will be posted.

This is the fourth of seven performances planned by the town’s Tourism & Beautification Committee for this summer.
