POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence Valley Teachers’ Learning Center will offer a substitute teacher training program Saturday, Dec. 12 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at SUNY Potsdam in Satterlee Hall, room 117.
The six-hour training is designed for individuals who are interested in becoming or wish to better their role as a substitute teacher.
Topics include application process, expectations, classroom management, navigating the classroom and lesson plans, safety, routines, consistency, anti-bullying, effective communication with students and teachers, etc.
The program is free and available to anyone.
