A program that claims to set the record straight about college athletics and the recruiting process, The Student-Athlete & College Recruiting, is coming to Massena on Sept. 21 and Ogdensburg on Sept. 22.
All athletes in grades 8 to 12 and their parents are invited to attend the speaker event, held at the Massena High School auditorium and Ogdensburg Free Academy auditorium, both at 7:30 p.m.
The motivational speaker will discuss how to get recruited and receive scholarship offers, how students don’t have to make All-Conference to play in college, how students can market themselves to college coaches, how to go after grant money at NCAA-III schools, and how students can prepare physically to be a college athlete.
