POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Humane Society will hold the fourth annual “Strut Your Mutt” 5k walk May 4.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the walk to start at 10 a.m. A donation or pledge sheet serves as an entry fee.
Walkers without dogs are welcome.
All proceeds will benefit Cooper, a beagle being treated for heartworm.
Prizes will be handed out after the walk.
A craft and flea market will also be held in the Sandstone Arena from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Food, face painting and music by a local DJ will be featured, along with an appearance by Cubby T. Clown.
Tables will be available for $10.
“Because PHS relies a lot on private donations, events like Strut Your Mutt are absolutely essential to making our community a better place for people and pets,” said Alysia Maynard a vet technician at PHS and an organizer of the event. “So please come out and enjoy the crafts, fun, food, and of course, the dogs!”
