CANTON -- St. Lawrence University’s String Orchestra of Northern New York will present a special fall concert, beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, in Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall in the Griffiths Arts Center.
Directed by Christian Hosmer, the orchestra will perform “2004-2014: A 10-Year Retrospective, Part II,” celebrating the 10th-anniversary of the orchestra.
The program will feature one selection previously performed at each fall concert since 2004, including popular classical works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Edvard Grieg, Gustav Holst, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Pachelbel, Johann Strauss and Antonio Vivaldi along with more contemporary music such as “Paranoid Android” by Radiohead.

NORWOOD -- St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 42 S. Main Street, will host The Noteworthy Hand Bell Choir, in a community Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 pm. The Hand Bell Choir, organized in 1997, will be performing under the direction of Michael Walters. The concert is free and all are welcome to attend. Refreshments will follow immediately after the concert.
